Rob Magee, Trombone  

Late night jazz... plus swing band, classic movie favorites, pop songs and even some classical tunes that somehow all "fit" together to awaken favorite memories and make a wonderful evening.

A Northwest native currently living in Salem, Rob made the life-changing discovery of the "other" side of the trombone as a true singing instrument while attending a concert in Seattle 40 years ago, and it quickly became his voice. His mission is to prove that the trombone doesn't have to be the stereotypically loud, obnoxious wacky sound effects generator! 

Originally classically trained, the pull on Rob's heart to the musical world of smooth jazz became too strong to resist and he left his orchestras and symphony behind to follow that call.

Rob hopes to help more people discover and fall in love with the rich, smooth, warm sound that is the trombone at its best.
